Althea is located in the ancient neighborhood of Florence called "Oltrarno", which means "On the other side of the Arno river". The neighborhood is characterized by a traditional presence of artisan workshops and art laboratories: ceramics, mosaics, woodworking, frames, antique shops, jewelry stores, and many others. Althea enjoys an excellent tourist position, being close to monuments, museums, churches, palaces, and parks: Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Santo Spirito, Boboli Gardens, just to name a few.
